How I helped Kargo Technologies enhanced their average matching speed between order requirements and suitable transporters by 2.5x faster

Background Problem
Every time an order came, the operations team needed to cross-check the requirements with their list of transporters which took away their time
Project Goal
To automate the matching process between an order requirement versus finding suitable transporters in order to enhance the order matching speed and improve operational team's productivity
My Role
As the product designer I helped creating user flows and crafting the user interface
Impact
By building a matching engine, we enhanced the average matching speed between order requirements and suitable transporters by 2.5x faster

What I have designed

In order for the TMS to match the requirements from the Shipper with the availability of the transporter, first the types of requirements must be registered into the system TMS
After the shipping requirements are registered into the TMS, they need to be tagged into shipper project and transporter profiles
Since pricing was one of the key factors in selecting a transporter, pricing for each route and vehicle type needed to be inputted for all transporters. After all, Kargo Tech is a business and wants to get profit from their service
Once the Shipper Project and Transporter Profile were tagged with their respective shipping requirements, the system could calculate how many requirements matched each transporters. It then provided recommendations for suitable transporters, ranking them based on the matching score

Design process

I opened Mixpanel & UX Cam, getting insight on user’s search behavior pattern.Here is what I found:
