About the Company

Semaai is an Agri-tech start-up that aims to harness the potential of technology to improve livelihoods and incomes of farmers

Background Problem

Before the creation of a single source of truth Figma file, the team often spent up to 15 minutes searching for the latest design screen. This was due to two key challenges: first, the sheer number of design files made it unclear which file contained the needed screen. Second, within those files, there were numerous screens, requiring designers to skim through each one and try to understand the context in order to find the latest version

Project Goal

To enhance the speed of finding the most updated screen on numerous design files

My Role

I initiated the idea of having a single source of truth design file because I experienced an inefficient way of working during the early scoping phase. I wanted the team to work instantly so they can focus on designing solution and interface, instead of wasting time figuring out the latest design screen. I helped in updating the file with latest screens especially when it was affected by a project I did

Impact

After implementing the single source of truth file, designers can now easily search for a screen and quickly access the latest version, complete with all the possible states for that screen in less than 2 minutes
